Game Night House Call 1 : Non-Local area (Continental United States)
As I talked about on the Game Night House Calls page I want to use this blog to help spread the friend and family game night fun at home, beyond my local area of Buffalo, NY. Some of the best game nights are with a smaller group of family and friends at home. So to help with that I will ship a game night pack (pictured to the left) with games and snacks in a sturdy cardboard box to the chosen host which will include:
.
- One (1) copy each of Likewise! and The T-Shirt Game
- One (1) brownie mix package
- One (1) Andes chocolate mint package
- One (1) bag each of pretzels and party mix snacks, similar to what is shown in the image.
- *bonsai not included
All you have to do is leave a comment below by September 12th 2009 that you would like to host a game night with 6-12 friends and/or family. I’ll then use a randomize program to pick a host from the comments.
The game night host will get to keep the game of their choice, from the game night pack, and the other game will be raffled to one of the other people that come and play. I will bring the games and items, you supply the friends and laughs. Hopefully this Game Night House Call offer will be the excuse for you to have a game night, and many more game nights on your own. Please read the details below.
I look forward to a great game night... You’re game night! With help from the Buffalo GameBuffs blog, the blog that now makes house calls.
For info on how to easily make the Andes brownies… see my post with step by step pictures here
The gory details:
- The non local Game Night House Calls will take place at the house (or apartment) of the person chosen or one of their friends or relatives.
- Game Night House Calls packs are only available to those in the continental United States. I’ll be shipping these myself so I don’t have the budget to ship them real far.
- The game night must be held on a day and time between September 20th 2009 and November 14th 2009.
- If people attending have any food allergies, just let me know.
- I simply ask that some pictures of the game night and people playing be taken and sent to me to post on the blog to show others how easy and fun game nights are.
- Any issues that may arise from invited friends and/or family or things I am not made aware of ahead of time are not the fault of myself or my non-sentient blog.
- You have until the end of the day at 11:59 pm EST on August the 31st to leave a comment.
- Remember to include a valid e-mail address (email addresses are not made public) I can contact when the contest is over for the winner.
- Only one comment per e-mail, name and ISP address.
- I will then contact the winning Host to go over the details.
- Winners will be emailed, replies must be received within 1 week.
- Details are subject to change.

I talk to you on myspace and I wish that you could come to our game nights but we live in California. Would love to try those games so hopefully I win =) Also one of the girls that we play games with is a photographer so we would have some great pics!
i have been telling my friends and family how much fun i had at game night when you had it in lewiston and how much we all laughed and had a great time, however they live in sandy pond ny in the summer and florida in the winter and cant come BUT i am going to visit them in sept in sandy pond and in nov to florida and would LOVE to take the game with me. there is never a lack of pics when my family is together
Those games sound like fun. I would love to win them and host a game night!
Thanks.
I would be THRILLED to host a game night! I frequently have them at my home but love the opportunity to invite some fresh faces and perspectives. I’ve had a devil of a time finding Likewise but managed to purchase the last one in stock at Borders. But, being that I was looking for a gift for a very good friend, I gave it away to her with the admonishment she would promise to bring it to our game nights when she was available. I LOVE that game! Kudos to Kristin on such a great job! And, just so you know, I’ve had as many as twenty in house for one game night. We do 2 rooms or out on the back porch which has a very large deck.
So, we’ve been talking for a while about how much I’d love to go to one of your game nights, and I’m so excited you’re giving away one of these. My friends and I get together at my best friends house just about every night, but we’ve quickly run out of things to do. I think this game pack would be a boredom killer, almost a superhero, if you will :]
Happy gaming!
I’d love to try those games out with friends and family at a game night. I do host game nights irregularly (maybe 1-2 times a month and the Tshirt game could be a heck of a giggle.
Thank you.
We would love to host a game night.
We have game days all the time and would enjoy hosting your games at one of them.
Take care,
Elizabeth
Good reason to have a game night. I’m in
I’d love to try these games with friends. We have a game night every month or so.
Thanks for the chance
You are ingenious! I have enjoyed your blog for over a year now!
The idea of making Game Night House Calls. Nothing brings family and friends together like a great night of game playing with delicious snacks! Our extended family gathers as often as possible to play various games. My 91 year old Dad sits on the
sofa and listens and watches to our antics while playing and snacking! Please consider our family in your one of a kind
drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
great site, I actually graduated from SUNY Buffalo in 79, we’re the NYC Boardgames Meetup and we play about 2-4 times a month with over 25 people at a shot. If you want me to give out some games or literature, give me an email.
i saw a post of yours at another blog and would love to try these games.
A very good reason to invite some friends we have not gotten together with in a good while. Thank you.
What a fantastic contest! Raffling off a game is a great way to get my non-gaming friends more interested in starting their own family game nights, even if I don’t win, it’s a great idea I can incorporate on my own!
This would be awesome to win! I haven’t invited pals over for quite some time for a game night & with the move into the new place, I”ve been toying with the idea. Even more, I’d love to start doing a regular game night with family and friends once or twice a month. Reading about all these great gamjes on your blog and FaceBook has dragged me back to board games! Thanks! =)
Gotta say, the suburbs of Seattle are pretty dry and can use some extra fun. Having an instant party in a box seems like a grand idea. Sign me up for a chance to win too!
We are friends on Facebook. Your games sound like so much fun. I would love to win the pack and start my own game night here in Western Colorado!
I think a game night would be great.i am very interested.I can arrange for family to play games. We use to play games every night until a few years ago when my son in law died.I think it would be good for us all to get back into it.
Great idea… even if I don’t win, keep spreading the word.
Hope not late to leave a comment. Lucky 21
