Contest : Win a copy of the game Likewise!
Likewise! party game
As I start organizing the locations for the next two game nights and games we will be playing at them I realized I had an extra copy of Likewise! I also realized I was not sure of the second game to play at the next game night so I figured I could bribe ask for your help in figuring out which game to play.
One of the next game nights will be at an assisted living community and the other should be at a game store. Just like we had the last game night at a library to show a different place to have game nights in public places the assisted living center offers that same idea. The location was suggested by one of the blog readers and it goes well with a post I did about 2 years ago about gaming with the elderly and to help prevent alzheimers. That post is still one of the most visited posts on the blog.
So one of the next game nights will allow the elderly there to try some fun games and I’ll even have a couple 300 piece puzzles to have people work on during the night together. This location allows for alot of people and the game night will be open to all of the people that live there, their family and friends and all of the readers of this blog. It’ll be a unique and fun evening.

The T-Shirt Game party game
However, I normally have two or three games at game nights and have figured out two that will be great for all ages but I’d like to bring a third game, a party game, and I will ask you to help pick that third game. Don’t worry… it’ll just be a choice between two games. All you have to do for the contest to win a copy of Likewise! is choose one of the games in the survey below and leave a comment in this post, even just one sentence, in this post for which game you chose and why. If you are unfamiliar with these two games just follow the links to their descriptions to give you an idea of them.
.
You have until the end of the day at 11:59 pm EST on July the 26th to leave a comment. Remember to include your name and an e-mail address (email addresses are not made public) I can contact when the contest is over for the winner. Also, only one comment per e-mail, name and ISP address. This contest is only available to those in the continental United States. I’ll be shipping this myself so I don’t have the budget to ship the prize real far. The winner will be chosen randomly using a randomizer program.
If you already own the games or are not located in the continental united states or are not interested in entering the contest but still want to make a vote, feel free. You can vote in the survey without leaving a comment. Just remember, only those that leave a comment with their choice and why will be entered in the contest.

Both games look fun.
Both games look like fun and would be great to try out. As far as my tastes go I would pick Likewise because it is a thought provoking game while not taking too much energy. It is fun to make cool words and such.
I enjoy seeing who works well together and which team would just be plain goofy.
That is my choice but either looks like it would be fun at a party.
i LOVE that game we played it at the last game night and i would love to own it to play it with my friends i am sure they would love it too!! cant wait for the next game night!
Hi Sharry!
I love it too! We had so much fun together that night in the Lewiston Library. I’d love to get together again for a night of fun. When I told my girls how much fun it was they instantly wanted to get in on the next game night. If you win, I hope you’ll consider inviting us over or maybe you can come here. I have a great porch for Summer on the porch game night. And I of course will do LIKEWISE HeeHee.
Best Wishes,
Lee Radice
I like them both!
I looked at both games and Likewise looks good–a new twist on What Were You Thinking with a little Big Idea twist. I like the sounds of it. On the other hand, the Tee Shirt game is just a rehashing of Apples to Apples, a game mechanic I am so over with.
Go with Likewise!
Likewise! Like Duh! Only the best game! Can’t wait for game night!!!!
Likewise looks better for older people to read and play
I like the colorful game pieces.
Both look fun.
Likewise is the bomb!
I played LIkewise! at the last game night I went to & enjoyed it a lot. It was a fun way to get people in the gaming mood & especially people just meeting for the first time
Also a fun way to get to know the people you are gaming with and how they think.
Likewise has my vote. Seems that the laughs would never be the same each game.
likewise is a great game for young and old alike
Likewise, undeniably, is the best new board game I’ve played since Imaginiff came out. It could definitely replace Boxers or Briefs as my favorite new party game as well. I was so excited to play it at game nite out in Lewiston that I couldn’t stop talking about it and now my girls want to play as well. kudos to Kristin on the game design. I can’t wait for a new game night. Whoo Hoo!
likewise would be my choice since i’ve never played it and am always looking for new games to share with my famly and friends
Both games look fun.
likewise sounds like a creative way to get silly with your friends… i am all about games like that ^^
moreover, with so many different combos, it makes for fun replay value… allowing for a different experience every time/round/game played
I have never had the pleasure of playing either game, but with my meetup groups I hope I get the chance to!!! They look like a lot of fun!! If I had to pick only one I think Likewise is my choice.
I say the T-shirt game because I already played likewise, I like somethin new.
voted for t-shirt game cuz ive never played it… im in the minority… :-/
I love “Likewise.” In my game group, we’ve played it several times. I think for the elderly group it might be better because their generation didn’t wear sloganized t-shirts they way we do. But I may be wrong! They had burma shave signs, so they might take to it quite well!
I like both games but the TShirt game lets my creativity really come out. It’s also funny as all heck what you can come up with.
Definately LIKEWISE When I played this game I laughed sooo hard I started crying. SUPER game!!!
Voted for Likewise. It looks fun with the paddles and graphics. I’ll look for this game where I live or online to try if I don’t win.
Both look fun but I think Likewise would work better for the elderly. The tshirt cards may be hard to read. Last Word and Imaginiff look fun too at the website.
Likewise looks like the superior option for fun. Never played it but that’s what I would pick!
I think Likewise would go better.
I’ll try both of these games. Likewise looks more fun.
Thanks for the contest, or bribe. I voted for Likewise
I’d go with likewise. Both look fun at the website though
Nice games they have. Likewise for the contest
You guys should definitely try out settlers of katan. I know it’s kinda nerdy and requires a little more attention than regular “party games” but you wouldn’t regret it!
I’ve played Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne, both good games, at a bunch of game nights with others, with Carcassonne being more accessible in my opinion, but for now, with most of the people attending the blog organized game nights being new to gaming and especially this game night with the elderly, we’ll hold off on the more euro strategy games. The idea of the blog game nights is to have fun with games where it doesn’t matter who wins and games that are easy to understand for people new to gaming. Once people start enjoying games they can start exploring other games. As the community builds, many have started their own game groups and explore different games. I love seeing that happen. I just want to get people excited about fun games and playing with old and new friends and family.
Glad to see gaming with the elderly. I think Likewise would work best for them.
I love both of these games. Played them with friends before. Likewise for newbies and elderly.
I voted for likewise
I’ve been trying to get my family to play games this summer. Love to try likewise with them.
I like to be different. Tshirt game.
Likewise looks like it would work better for everyone there.
I’d like to try likewise
been reading about these games on your blog and now I can win one and try it myself. I voted for Likewise!
likewise all the way
