Sorry… a board game look and holiday deal
December 2, 2008
Last holiday season I posted a lengthy Stocking Stuffers post with lots of ideas and where to buy smaller game related items that could be wedged into a stocking. This year I will be posting shorter posts highlighting individual games, big or small that would fit the board game related itch.
Sorry Sliders

This is a great game for the whole family. Yes… that phrase will be tossed around alot this holiday season but it really is fitting. Sorry Sliders, though a little bit more slider than sorry, gives you a set of small pawns for scoring and larger pawns with a fun ball bearing on the bottom to allow them to be delicately slid across your slide. The arrow slide in the original Sorry game was always the most fun element for me when I was younger, so it’s nice to see that element used as the main gameplay component.
The goal is simple, get your smaller scoring pawns to home by using dexterity and simple strategy and luck to flick your larger pawns to the center area to get points. There are four different center area variations included and different combinations of the slides to assemble. Just think of what weird variations you and your family and friends can come up with if you had a couple copies of the game
The pieces are well made and durable, so no worries about multiple plays.
This is a simple game to learn and games last about 15 minutes. And don’t forget to say SORRY
Below is a well produced video review of the game that gives you a good idea of the gameplay. Below that you will find a couple links to buying a copy of the game yourself as well as a couple sales on the game going on this week.

This is a great game for the sale price. My kids love it, and even the non-gamer adults raise an eyebrow in interest.
