Mowing and The T-Shirt Game
May 15, 2008
I was sent an email that The T-Shirt Game will be shipping out next week to the winners that have emailed me their shipping info.
I also wanted to take a moment and share (seeing as though many readers shared their ideas in the contest post) just one of the quirky small things I do regularly as a small part to help the environment. I use a classic push reel mower. No gas, no exhaust and great excercise. One article states that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found that nearly 5 percent of America’s air pollution is caused by gas powered mowers. Another report states that mowing your lawn for one hour with a conventional gasoline-powered lawn mower can cause more air pollution than driving about 140 miles in a new car.
I also love the look of people driving by as I wander the yard with this trusty mower. Granted, this mower wouldn’t be all that practical for a real large lawn, but it’s perfect for those that want some nice excercise, be a bit unique and do a little part for the environment.
